Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 30 30 30 10 rule for retirement?

The 30 30 30 10 rule is a budgeting framework some retirees use to organize spending: 30% for housing, 30% for daily living expenses, 30% for savings, healthcare, or discretionary goals, and 10% for giving or legacy priorities. It is only a guideline. A strong retirement income plan should also consider taxes, inflation, market risk, Medicare costs, and your actual lifestyle needs.
