401(k) Rollovers
Move retirement savings from an old employer plan into a coordinated strategy designed around your goals, tax situation, investment preferences, and retirement income needs.
When changing jobs, retiring, or consolidating old workplace plans, a 401k rollover should support your bigger financial picture—not just move money. Barking Sands Capital provides fee-based fiduciary guidance, integrating retirement, tax, insurance, and investment planning so your rollover strategy aligns with your goals, risk tolerance, and long-term income needs.

Integrated rollover, retirement, tax, and investment services designed to support confident long-term decisions.
Move retirement savings from an old employer plan into a coordinated strategy designed around your goals, tax situation, investment preferences, and retirement income needs.
Create a long-term retirement roadmap covering income planning, asset distribution, Roth conversion opportunities, and strategies for preserving flexibility throughout retirement.
Evaluate whether converting pre-tax retirement assets to Roth accounts may reduce future tax exposure, support tax-free growth, and improve long-term wealth transfer options.
Coordinate retirement decisions with tax planning, including timing of distributions, AMT considerations, business owner strategies, and opportunities to improve after-tax outcomes.
Use research-backed portfolio strategies, risk management, diversification, and active allocation to help rollover assets work toward your long-term financial goals.
Integrate retirement, legal, insurance, tax, investment, and estate considerations through a team-based planning approach designed to simplify complex decisions.

We begin by discussing your retirement goals, current accounts, timeline, income needs, and concerns. This helps clarify whether a rollover supports your broader financial picture or whether your current employer plan still offers meaningful advantages.

Key retirement planning changes in 2026 include continued SECURE 2.0 implementation, especially Roth catch-up contribution rules for certain higher-earning workers, evolving employer plan features, and updated tax and contribution thresholds. These changes can affect rollover timing, Roth conversion decisions, retirement income planning, and tax coordination.
